Privacy Policy

• Your account — you sign in with Google. We receive a Firebase user ID and the email address on that Google account, which is how your plan follows you to a new phone.
• Your subscription — the plan you hold, its expiry and renewal state, and the Google Play purchase token that proves it.
• Your usage counters — how many AI messages, katha and checklists you have used in the current period. Numbers only, never the content of what you asked.

These are held in Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication) in the asia-south1 region, India. We do not sell or share them, and there is no advertising network in the app.

Your chosen language, theme, saved location, fasting-type preferences, reminder settings, notification times and your own birth details are stored locally on your phone. They are not uploaded to us, and clearing the app's data removes them.

The fasting calendar, Panchangam, almanac and moon phases are calculated on your device from standard Hindu astronomical formulae. No server call is made for any of them.

The app asks for location so that sunrise, parayanam timings and the date itself are right for where you actually are. You can decline, or set a city by hand instead, and everything else keeps working.

Your coordinates stay on the device. When you use an AI feature, the name of your city may be included as context so the answer suits where you are — for example “they are in Coimbatore”. Your precise location is never sent to us or to OpenAI.

The AI Guide, sacred Katha, pooja checklists, the daily fact and story, and the astrology reading and jyotishi chat are generated by OpenAI models. Requests do not go from your phone to OpenAI directly: they pass through our own server (Google Cloud Functions, asia-south1), which checks your plan, counts your usage and holds the OpenAI key.

What is sent for a request:

• Your question or instruction, for the AI Guide and the jyotishi chat
• Which fasting day, deity and language the request is for, and today's Panchangam as context
• For an astrology reading: the name, date of birth and birthplace you entered. These are used to cast that reading and are not stored on our server afterwards.

Your email address is never sent to OpenAI. OpenAI processes these requests under its own policy at openai.com/privacy; as an API customer, our requests are not used to train their models.

The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase, which reports anonymous usage and stability information such as screens opened and app version. It does not record what you fast, what you ask the AI, or your birth details.

Requests to our server carry a Firebase App Check token, issued by Google Play Integrity, which confirms the request came from a genuine installation of the app rather than a script. It identifies the app, not you.

Reminders for fasting days and parayanam times are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. Nothing about them is sent to us, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings or in your device settings.

Plans are sold and charged by Google Play Billing. Zecrari never receives or stores your card or payment details. We receive from Google only the purchase token and the state of the subscription, which is what tells the app that your plan is active.

• Daily usage counters are deleted automatically after about 40 days.
• Monthly counters are deleted automatically after about 13 months.
• Your free-trial counter is kept for as long as the account exists — that is what makes the trial one-time.
• Your account record and subscription state are kept while the account exists, and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require.

You can delete your account and everything we hold for it by writing to support@zecrari.com from the email address you signed in with. We action deletions within 30 days. Deleting the app alone removes the local data on your phone but not the account record.

Cancelling a subscription is done in Google Play, and cancelling does not by itself delete your account.

Viratham AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Viratham AI after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
