Speedometer Go is built on a simple promise: we do not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data, location history, or device identifiers. All speed, trip, and GPS data is processed and stored locally on your device.
The app requires location access to calculate your current speed using your device's GPS sensor. This data is used in real-time only and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
If you upgrade to Speedometer Go Pro, you may optionally enable encrypted cloud backup for trip logs and speed limit databases. This data is encrypted end-to-end and accessible only with your account credentials. You can disable or delete it at any time.
We do not embed ad networks, analytics trackers, or marketing SDKs. Purchase verification is handled securely via Google Play Billing, which is subject to Google's own privacy policies. No third party receives your driving data.
Because data never leaves your device, it is protected by your phone's built-in security (encryption, secure enclaves, app sandboxing). We do not maintain user databases, meaning there is no central server to breach.
Speedometer Go is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Since we collect no personal data, this risk is inherently minimized.
You retain full ownership of all data generated on your device. You may export, delete, or clear trip logs at any time via the app settings. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data automatically.
We will update this policy if our data practices change. We will never introduce tracking or ads without clear, upfront notification and explicit user consent.
