Account information

You sign in with Google through Firebase Authentication. We receive your name, email address and profile photo URL to create your account.

Birth data

To compute your chart you give us your date, time and place of birth, and the name and pronouns you want Rilwa to use. This is stored on your phone and in your own account record in Firebase Firestore, so that your chart is restored if you reinstall or change phones. Only you can read that record.

Your case file

Your conversations with Rilwa, the memories she extracts from them, the predictions she makes, and your tarot pulls are stored in a database on your phone. They are not stored on our servers.

Compatibility readings

If you compare charts with someone, the other person's birth data stays on your phone. Only the computed chart placements and aspects are sent for the reading. Please only enter another person's details if you have a good reason to believe they would be comfortable with it.

Usage counters and subscription status

To apply plan limits (for example, two free questions a day) we store counts of questions, tarot pulls and compatibility readings, and your plan's status and expiry, on your account record. We store a purchase token to verify purchases with Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.

Diagnostics

Firebase Analytics collects basic, pseudonymous usage and crash information (such as screens viewed and app version) that helps us keep the app working.

• Your chart is computed on your phone. Planetary positions, houses and aspects are calculated on-device from astronomical formulas.
• Readings are generated by AI. When you ask a question, pull a tarot card or request a compatibility reading, the app sends our server your message together with your computed chart, today's transits, a small number of relevant memories and pending predictions, and your recent messages. Our server passes this to OpenAI to generate the reply, with storage by OpenAI switched off for these requests.
• Memory extraction. After each reply, the exchange is analysed by the same AI to find facts worth remembering and time-bound predictions. The results are returned to your phone and stored there.
• Birthplace search. The place name you type is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to find its coordinates and time zone. Nothing else about you is sent with it.

If you allow notifications, the app decides on your phone when to send one — for a transit touching your chart, a prediction coming due, or a tarot card being ready — from the chart and case file already stored there. No notification content is sent from our servers.

• All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS).
• Firestore security rules allow each account to read only its own record, and prevent the app from changing plan or usage fields.
• Your case file is stored in the app's private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read.

Edit or delete memories

Every memory Rilwa keeps is listed in the Case File tab. Tap one to edit or delete it, or delete them all from Profile › Case file.

Export

Profile › Export my data gives you your memories, predictions and chat as a JSON file.

Sign out

Signing out clears the case file from the phone.

Account deletion

Profile › Delete account permanently deletes your account, your birth data and usage record from our servers immediately, and clears your case file from the phone. Purchase records are kept, detached from your account, because tax law requires it and to prevent a purchase being claimed twice. Active subscriptions must be cancelled in Google Play separately.

• Firebase (Google): sign-in, your account record, server functions and analytics.
• OpenAI: generating readings and extracting memories. Requests are made with storage disabled.
• Google Play Billing: purchases and subscriptions.
• Open-Meteo: birthplace search (place name only).

Rilwa is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission to make purchases.

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will notify you in the app of any material change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
