Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using Catholic Calendar: Bible (the “App”), published by Zecrari (“we”, “us”, “our”), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

Catholic Calendar: Bible provides:

• A Catholic liturgical calendar with seasons, feasts, saints and regional calendars
• The Bible in seven languages, with highlights, notes and verse sharing
• Prayer reminders, the Angelus bell and feast-day alerts
• A guided Rosary
• Baptism and wedding date guides, with optional AI date suggestions, and Catholic baby names
• Stories — Bible stories for children and saints' stories, including AI-written “surprise” stories
• Ask — an optional AI companion for questions about the faith
• A home-screen widget with today's saint and verse

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial, spiritual use.

The calendar, Bible reader and prayer reminders are free. Some features require a purchase, made through Google Play:

• PRO (one-time purchase) — unlocks the PRO features (such as the guided Rosary, your week, unlimited highlights, Bible search, the date guides and the widget) for as long as you use the App. It does not include Ask.
• Ask free questions — each device can ask 3 questions free of charge.
• AI Pro (monthly subscription) — up to 300 Ask questions and 10 AI-written stories per calendar month.
• Premium (monthly subscription) — unlimited Ask questions, subject to a fair-use limit of 100 per day, 50 AI-written stories per calendar month, fuller answers, and every PRO feature while the subscription is active.

Prices are shown in the App and in Google Play in your local currency before you buy.

• Changing from AI Pro to Premium takes effect immediately, and Google Play charges only the prorated difference. Changing from Premium to AI Pro takes effect at your next renewal.
• A subscription can be used on up to two devices at a time. A device that has not used Ask for 30 days is released automatically.
• Purchases belong to the Google account you bought them with, not to the phone. After a reinstall or on a new device, sign in to Google Play with that account and tap Restore purchases (in Settings or on any upgrade screen) to bring back PRO and any active subscription at no extra cost.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. If something has gone wrong, contact us and we will help.
• We may change plans, prices or allowances in the future. Any change to a subscription price will be notified by Google Play in advance, and you can cancel before it applies.

Answers in Ask are generated by artificial intelligence (provided by OpenAI) from your question. Please understand that:

• Answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are for learning and reflection only.
• Answers are not official teaching of the Catholic Church and do not replace your priest, the Catechism or your diocese. For pastoral, sacramental, canonical or personal matters, please speak with your parish priest.
• Ask is not medical, legal, psychological or financial advice. If you are in crisis or danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
• Please do not share names, health details or other personal information in your questions.

When using Ask, you agree not to:

• Use it for anything unlawful, abusive, hateful or harmful
• Access it by any automated means, or try to get around the free-question, daily, monthly or device limits
• Share or resell a subscription beyond the devices it allows
• Try to extract the service's instructions or misuse its answers

We may limit or suspend Ask for anyone who breaches these rules. Ask needs an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable.

All content within the App — including the design, text, graphics, icons, layout and code — is the property of Zecrari and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Bible text is from translations in the public domain or used under licence. You may share individual verses (for example with the App's share feature), but you may not otherwise reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from the App's content without our written permission.

You may use the App for lawful, personal purposes only. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App's servers or to any system connected to the App
• Use the App in a way that breaks any applicable law
• Remove any copyright, trademark or proprietary notices from the App

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The App or Ask will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Liturgical calendar data, scripture content or AI answers are always complete, accurate or current
• Notifications and reminders will be delivered on time on every device

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zecrari is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including reliance on AI-generated answers.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App or its subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

The App relies on Google Play (purchases, subscriptions, reviews and updates), Google Firebase (the server behind Ask) and OpenAI (Ask answers). Your use of Google Play is also subject to Google's terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes in these third-party services.

Prayer reminders and alerts need permission to schedule alarms and post notifications. You can revoke these at any time in your device settings; this turns off reminders but does not affect the rest of the App.

We may update, change or discontinue the App (or any part of it, including Ask) at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature, active subscriptions will not be renewed. We may also update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.

We may suspend or end your access to the App or to Ask if you breach these terms. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; remember to cancel any subscription in Google Play, as uninstalling does not cancel it.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from your use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
