Payment notifications

With your permission (Notification access), the app reads notifications only from the payment apps you switch on in Settings › Payment apps — such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, BharatPe and your SMS app. Notifications from every other app are ignored immediately and are never read or stored.

Bank SMS

If you allow SMS access, the app reads your inbox to find bank messages about money received, money paid and AutoPay (UPI mandate) activity. Messages from personal phone numbers are skipped. On first use it reads your existing messages to build your history; after that it only looks at new messages.

OTPs, passwords and codes

Any message or notification containing an OTP, password, PIN, login or verification code is discarded as soon as it is recognised. It is never saved, spoken or shown in the app.

From payment and AutoPay messages, the app saves only what it needs to work:

• Payments: amount, whether money came in or went out, the payer or payee name if the message includes one, the bank or app, the date and time, and the original message text so you can check it.
• AutoPay (mandates): merchant name, bank, maximum amount, validity date, status (active, paused or stopped) and charges taken.
• Your settings: language, voice, text size, which apps to listen to, and reminder preferences.

All of this is stored in the app's private storage on your device. Android cloud backup is switched off for this app, so it is not copied to Google Drive either.

The app requests the following Android permissions. Each one is used only for the feature listed next to it:

The app does not request internet access, location, contacts, camera, microphone, call logs or the list of all apps on your phone. It only checks whether specific payment and bank apps are installed, to show their icons and let you switch them on.

• Voice alerts: the amount (and, if you choose, the payer's name) is spoken aloud using your phone's built-in text-to-speech engine.
• History and totals: to show today's, yesterday's and this month's money received and paid.
• AutoPay protection: to list your mandates, estimate the next charge date, remind you three days before, and warn you about trial traps.
• Statements: when you tap Download, a PDF or CSV file is written to your phone's Downloads folder. It is shared only if you choose to share it.

• Your phone's text-to-speech engine (for example, Speech Services by Google) turns alert text into speech on the device. If a language voice is not installed, your phone may offer to download it — that download is handled by the speech engine, not by this app.
• Apps you choose to open or share with. When you tap “Open” on an AutoPay to stop it, or share a statement, the chosen app (for example Google Pay or WhatsApp) receives only what you send it.

No other third-party services, SDKs or trackers are included in the app.

Delete your data

Settings › Delete all payments erases every saved payment and AutoPay record. Uninstalling the app removes everything, including settings.

Choose what is read

Switch individual payment apps on or off in Settings › Payment apps. You can use the app without SMS access — only new payment notifications will be recorded.

Revoke permissions

You can remove Notification access or SMS access at any time in your phone's settings. The related features stop working until you allow them again.

Statement files

Files you download are ordinary files in Downloads › AutoPay UPI Alerts. Delete them from your file manager whenever you like.

The app is intended for adults who manage their own bank accounts and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data on our servers, we hold no information about any user, including children.

If a future version adds any feature that needs the internet — for example an optional backup — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the feature will be off until you turn it on. The effective date above always shows the latest version.
